Neighbourhood: West Seattle

on west side of duwamish river about a mile south of spokane st. address is 4750 W. marginal way

cruiser update 3/3/2008: The parking lot that someone describes here (the one next to the Grey Line bus barn) is actually " Herring"s House " Park. Herring's house park is a city of Seattle park< T- 107 Is a Port Authority park and connects to Herring's Hat Park on its north side. T-105 Park is just south of the bus barn.

All parks sort of connect, and the tide determines how far you can walk w/O turning back.

The path that is accessible frome the Herring"s Hat parking lot is my favorite. Guys can very easily find a PLAce and get down to anything...

cruiser Adds: From the paved parking area next to the Grayline bus barn yard there is a paved walking trail that winds down toward the river and ends at a single bench. To the left of the bench is a trail that winds through the marsh and continues on for about a half mile until it ends at a point in the middle of the river. There are many hidden spots along the way that veer off the trail and the foilage is very dense providing an excellent cover for any kind of action you want here.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:cruiser Adds: The river is not easily accessible from this park. It is about a 25 foot drop from a retaining wall to the water and beach. There may have been steps at one time but there are no longer and the Port of Seattle Police patrol the area to discourage people from gathering on the beaches.
