This is the biggest cinema in Basel (maybe even Switzerland). 3 different cinema rooms with different films. Usually straight , but sometimes gay and bi. It doesn't matter what's on the screen, though. Most people are too busy with each other to notice. Private movie cabins upstairs with sliding partitions so you can watch the guys in the next booths. Kept quite clean (it is Swiss after all).
Crowd: All types. Straight guys looking for a little fun, older men, more younger guys during evening and on weekend. I've had fun with lots of hot guys in my age range (18-30).

Passageway to the right of Hotel Euler and Hotel Metropol. You'll see large signs for "Cine Mascotte". Door is opposite the Italian resturant "Ristorante Da Roberto".

  • Hours:10:00 - 23:00 Every day
    Best times: Weekday lunches can be hit or miss. Gets busy after 3-4 in the afternoon until closing. Friday nights and Saturday afternoons seem to be the best time.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Lots of "straight" types just waiting for you to sit next to them and offer a helping hand. Or check out the booths and cabins upstairs.
    Cruisiest Spots: Booths to the rear of main screen. Guys sit and wait for someome to enter the booth -- lots of group action here. Also, private movie cabins upstairs are very cruisy.
  • Nudity / Policy:Anything goes -- attendant is upstairs and never comes around. for sale in the toilets.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:They close on Swiss time -- 11pm. Sometimes Eastern European and Turkish rent boys - which can be fine if it's your cup of tea.
