Is This Your Business?

Hoomaluhia is a park operated by the City and County of Honolulu. The name of the park in English means "to make a place of peace and tranquility." The park is below a major freeway, but still exhibits one of the most peaceful and lush places on the island. There is no entry fee to the park. See the City and County's Web site for more information.

Neighbourhood: Kaneohe

Luluku Road intersects Kamehameha Highway. The best way to find this place if you're not familiar with the area is to use your favorite address finding, Internet-based mapping site or GPS. It's very easy to find as it's at the end of Luluku Road. There are brown directional signs around the neighborhood as you approach the park from the different ways of getting there. The entrance to the park is about 2.5 miles in from the intersection of Luluku Rd. and Kamehameha Hwy. The visitors center is about .3 miles from the front gate.
  • Hours:The park is open daily from 9am till 4pm. The park is closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day. Overnight camping is allowed by permit only.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:This place requires a posting on cruise for a hook-up. There isn't "regular" cruising here that I know of, but guys have posted on a well know Web site that has postings for all different types of "lists". So post your hook-up notification here and meet up with your hot guy or guys. Most guys seem to prefer the last bathroom area which is know as "Kahua Nui" (2 bathroom structures) or the second to the last bathroom known as "Kahua Hau".

Visitors Center (Kikowaena) .3 miles from front gate
Kahua Kuou - 1 mile from the front gate
Kahua Lehua & Kilonani Mauka Lookout - 1.2 miles from the front gate
Kahua Kukui - 1.3 miles from the front gate
Kahua Hau - 1.5 miles from the front gate (pretty quiet here)
Kahua Nui - 1.8 miles from front gate (last park area with 2 bathrooms).
  • Nudity / Policy:Nudity in the park isn't allowed, but what happens in the bathroom is between you and the other guy(s).
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Yes. There is a handicapped parking available at most of the bathroom locations with wheelchair accessible bathrooms.
  • Warnings:There seems to be a mobile security guard within the park. Security is provided by Star Protection Agency. So look out for these vehicles or security guards. There is a magnetic identifier in the bathroom that security personnel are required to physically scan on a particular schedule. The schedule is unknown, but regardless of the bathrooms you hook-up in, you can hear people or cars when they're approaching.
