The island is extremely overgrown and I found no "beach" area open to the water.

RD3 Route de Scy-Chazelle southwest of the centre ville, parking behind the supermarket, then access the island only by foot across the railroad tracks and the railway bridge over the Moselle. (illegal). Also accessible from the west bank though the bridge is much longer.
