This is a public park between San Angelo and Grape Creek. It has parking areas off of Fm 2288, and gate that you can walk through or ride a bike through. There is a lot of Mesquite trees and brush that surround the trails and paths that run throughout the park.

Neighbourhood: Between San Angelo and Grape Creek

Traveling west on Arden Rd, you first take a right onto Fm 2288 at the 2-way Stop sign. You will go past the housing developement on the right side of the road. Once you have past the housing developement, there will start to be parking areas on both sides of Fm 2288 that lead up to the entrance gates into the San Angelo State Park. The entrances start and run for around 7 miles on either side of Fm 2288.
  • Directions:Traveling west on Arden Rd, you first take a right onto Fm 2288 at the 2-way Stop sign. You will go past the housing developement on the right side of the road. The entrances start and run for around 7 miles on either side of Fm 2288.
  • Hours:This location is open at all times, but daytime hours draw the least suspicion from Game Wardens and Sherriff Deputies. Most guys go there on the weekends during the early mornings or evenings when it starts to cool off. The best action is on Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings up until noon. There is not any handicap access and some of the trails can be rough and brushy.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Most men cruise near gate entrance number 9. This entrance leads to some of the best trails, paths, and also has the best lake access. Mainly there are only guys who like the outdoors and hiking. There are no specific areas as it is a public park.
  • Nudity / Policy:Nudity is not allowed as it is a public place which on occasion does have families present. But there are a lot of places protected by brush for nudity and activity. Just use common sense.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / This area does not have handicap access, and some of the trails and paths are rough and brushy.
  • Warnings:Game Wardens, Sherriff Deputies, and San Angelo State Park employees do enter the park on occassion, when suspicious activity is determined. To avoid the authority at the park, it is best not to be there too long after nightfall.
