Plaza de los Mariachis

Off the Costera Miguel Aleman, the main coast avenue of Acapulco, there is a new freeway on the right (the inland side) that butts in just by a rather sordid handicrafts market. Two blocks behind that, on the right, the Plaza de Mariachis takes up the whole corner. The excellent taco stands attract all the taxi drivers. It is hard to miss once you get off the main drag. It's a real circus of whores, taxis, taco stands and loud live music. ALL the taxi drivers know exactly where it is.

• Hours:Friday and Saturday after 11pm til ? I've been there mid week and scored, once even early around 10pm. There was only one working boy there and he was the best I ever had, called Alberto. There is a better looking one called Carlos or Charlie with slicked back hair who is a real pro and he can deliver the goods.
• Cruising Info/ Tips:Speaking Spanish is almost mandatory. If you like someone you can always buy him a beer and start from there. Once you have established that he is looking for a client, set a price. Bargain. Some atheletes come right back after for another client! Easy money for a young stud. I had two men (seperately, thank you) who sported full raging hard ons the second they entered the hotel room, no foreplay, no touching.....just SPRUNG! That's a professional mayate!
• Nudity / Policy:The inside bar is mixed to say the least. Lots of women, whores, couples, gay Mexican boys and men, drunks sleeping on their tables, etc. Toulouse Lautrec would be right at home with his sketchpad. Outside is where the mayates are, generally from two to perhaps eight, max, that I have seen.
• Wheelchair Accessible:Yes / One level only.
• Warnings:I had no problems at all the 10 or so times I've scored there. It does have a reputation for danger but then I am never drunk. I suppose anything can happen so be aware. I would NEVER take a lot of money with me, or cards, or valuables, etc.
