Dorris is about 5 miles east of Alturas, Ca
From Highway 395, at the south edge of Alturas, go east on County Road 56 to Dorris Reservoir (3.8 miles to the main entrance). Continue on county Rd 56 for 1.2 miles to the back entrance. At the entrance, turn left. Follow the dirt road, and stay to your left at the fork. The restroom will be on your right. Continue past the restroom to the lake itself.

  • Hours:7am - sunset
    Best times: noon-2pm is the best time. Sometimes you'll find guys out after work (5pm - sunset)
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Get out of your car and talk to guys that are out by themselves. Go into the restroom; don't just drive by.
    Cruisiest Spots: Restroom on the back side. Nice peak hole. I've met a couple of guys here, or take a little walk down by the lake. Say hi, and introduce yourself to any single guys out getting some sun, or swimming :P Don't just sit in your car.
  • Nudity / Policy:Well, if no one is out there, you can find places to get nude. Just use common sense. I luv to sunbath nude or in my thong :P
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Guys that don't stop and get out of the cars.
    Warnings: It's a family recreation area, so you'll sometimes have kids swimming, etc. The afternoon is pretty safe though. And it's too far outta town for most people (kids) to walk out there. I've never seen a cop, but the maintanance guys will cruise by every once and a while (2 or 3 times a week).

  • I still go out to Dorris. Its been kinda lonly out there as of late. If your ever bored between noon and 2pm, cruise on out

  • I am out here almost every day from around noon-2pm I work nights, so meeting in the PM can be tough for me. I have 8/16-17th off, and will be out there for most of the day. Cruise down to the lake and say hi - I'll most likly be the only guy out there with a red thong on - if any underwear at all
