It used to be a major boating dock years ago. It fell into disrepair and now the city is trying to fix it up a bit.

The Marina is located at the end of Hope Street, which can be reached by taking Lafayette Street north from Santa Clara or 1st Street northwest from San Jose. Lafayette turns into Gold Street. 1st Street turns into Taylor Street, which intersects Gold Street. Turn right onto Gold Street. Continue on Gold Street, which turns left and becomes Elizabeth Street. Elizabeth T's onto Hope Street. Turn right and go over the bridge to the Marina.
  • Crowd:You'll find all kinds of people, families, couples, people who work nearby who come to eat their lunch.
  • Hours:Park is open from 8:00 am to dusk.
    Best times: Lunchtime hours are the best.
    Dates open: Park is open from 8:00 am to dusk.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Be careful. It's not foolproof. Never make the first move unless you know the person.
    Cruisiest Spots: Take a walk down a path with a sign that reads "public shore." Follow the upper path to a bench on the left. Before you get to the bench, look to your left. You will find overgrown bushes. There is a path that goes throuh the bushes just before they end.
  • Nudity / Policy:You can get nearly nude in the bushes

  • Warnings:There are no park rangers.You will occasionally come across a snake or rabbits.
    Warnings: Though I have never seen any myself, I have heard of cops patrolling the area.

  • this is still a pretty good spot, bushes grow back. park has been udgraded and there's a host onsite now, but if you walk along the levee area toward the marina, you can slip down into the bushes and play...

  • All the bushes have been torn down. The only place you can play around is the restroom,and they are not very secure.

  • Cautious people at lunch.. Other path on right side prior to bench that goes down short hill and "Y's". To the right open area to the left a boat is docked.
