The park has a very cruisy beach and restroom. There is action in the beach showers. The most active areas are on the trails which lead up into the sand dunes. Guys nude sunbathe here, too.

cruiser update: Dunes have been fenced off for some time and there is no nude sunbathing in the area due to development around the beach. Still a high level of cruising in the parking lot and bath house during the daytime.
Crowd: Seen young, old, rich, poor, jocks, blue collar, white collar.

From I-95 head east on A1A to Amelia Island. After crossing the Thomas J. Shave Bridge, turn right at the first traffic light. Follow the American Beach sign to Lewis Street, east of First Coast Highway. near Osprey Village
Cross street: A1A/First Coast Hwy
  • Crowd:Seen young, old, rich, poor, jocks, blue collar, white collar.
  • Hours:24/7/365
    Best times: Early mornings and sunset especially during warm weather.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Drive in and drive around parking lot. Park and watch the cars for guys. Some head straight to the restroom and others hang out at their cars. Never seen police but as always be cautious.
    Cruisiest Spots: The public restroom/showers. Lots of available here day or night especially when weather warms up. Seen action on beach at night, in restroom/showers at all times, in parking lot at evening and night times.
  • Nudity / Policy:Only nudity would be in the shower area. off a jock guy who was "showering" but he was really posing to get . Seen guys openly in parking lot at night as there's very little lighting. Saw on man just open door of his truck and stand there and jack off spewing his on the asphalt while other guys watched from their cars. Very hot!
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:The recycling bins. Cars of residents/guests in area pull in to unload their recyclables. Rarely seen any of them stay to look for action.
    Warnings: Always good idea to be careful but never actually witnessed any law enforecement in the park. Be careful of wandering onto Plantation property to the south. Their golf course adjoins the park on that side. Residential homes just to the north. Even so is relatively private for a park.
