This is a small cold water pond located five miles north of Amherst center off Route 63. Park at pond dam site and walk south on RR tracks.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:anywhere along east side of pond.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / little beach 3/4 way down is ok for nude sunbathing and swimming
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:careful not to be watched from parking lot.

  • watch out for the dirt road, if you have a regular car & not a truck. it caused mine some damage. this place doesnt look secure at all to me.
    maybe the lot by the mt.toby entrance would be better.

  • A friend of mine was down there last month and saw the cops arresting 2 guys. Guess they got caught down at the other end of the pond at the beach.

  • Coming south on Rt.63 from Rt.2. Look for Rt.47 to take off to the right. Continue straight on Rt. 63. About a 1/4 mile on the right, look for a dirt road (Reservation Rd.) that comes in at an angle. Take this dirt road down over the hill across the railroad tracks and park by the pond. Walk back to the tracks and head south along the tracks. Be careful of trains. There is a southbound passenger train in early afternoon and northbound in late afternoon. Freight trains generally run at night. Look for the "beach" area. Probably a 1000 ft or so down the tracks from the crossing. Enjoy...
