De Canal Parade is het absolute hoogtepunt van de Amsterdam Gay Pride, met uitbundig versierde dekschuiten en opvarenden en uitzinnige bezoekers langs de kant. Op de eerste zaterdag in augustus zorgen de deelnemers op 80 boten voor een spetterende optocht van boten met DJ’s, opzienbarende thema’s en vooral heel veel lol, die aanstekelijk werkt bij alle toeschouwers op de oevers van de Prinsengracht en de Amstel. Tijdens de boten parade liggen ook tal van kleinere boten langs de grachten, die de feestvreugde verhogen. De Grachten Parade start om 13.30u. in de Westerdok haven en gaat via de Prinsengracht naar de Amstel. Vervolgens onder de Magere Brug door en langs het Stadshuis / Muziektheater (de eerste schuiten varen hier omstreeks 15.00u. langs) naar het eindpunt de Oosterdok haven. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 'Join our freedom, feel free to join us!' The Canal Parade is the highlight of the Amsterdam Gay Pride, with elaborately decorated boots and crew and frantic visitors along the side. On the first Saturday in August the participants on 80 boats provide a spectacular show with DJs, sensational themes and lots of fun, which is infectious to all spectators on the banks of the Prinsengracht canal and Amstel river. During the parade are also many smaller boats along the canals, which increase the fun. The Canal Parade starts at 13.30h. in Westerdoksdijk port and goes through the Prinsengracht canal to the Amstel River.
