Amsterdam TransPride - This is My TransPride This year we will be organizing the 4th annual TransPride. During the TransPride we offer a stage for transgenders to share their stories (poetry) talent, to build a bridge with the LGBQ community and the rest of society. For this year’s TransPride we want to give extra attention to the bi-cultural transgenders. The theme for TransPride 2017 is “This is My TransPride”, with this we want to reach-out to our fellow bi-cultural transgender brothers, sisters and non-binaries. The TransPride 2017 will be held on July 30th until August 4th in The Generator located in Amsterdam (Mauritskade 57, Oosterpark/ https://generatorhostels.com/destinations/amsterdam). On July 30th we will have a festive opening to the TransPride that includes; a brass band, speakers, music, singers, the singing of our TransPride anthem and the raising of the transgender flag. TransPride ambassadors This year we will have 2 ambassadors for the TransPride. They will be presented to the public and media prior to the opening of the TransPride. Each will be the representation of the TransPride in their own way, to showcase what the TransPride is all about. They will be promoting the TransPride on their social media, various media outlets, interviews and together with the TransAmsterdam team will be going on a promo tour. They will also attend the opening of the TransPride, contribute to the performances and presentations of the activities. Pre party This year we will be hosting a pre pride party together with other LGBTQ Trans organizations. During this party all attendants will be introduced to the ambassadors, mingle, dance, enjoy live music, speakers, various performances and information regarding the TransPride en Pride East. Amsterdam TransPride activities (subject to change) Saterday 29 July 2017 TransPride @Pride Walk with the trans community and friends we will walk together at the Pride Walk. We will meet 11:00 at the big trans flag on the Homomonument and walk at 12:00 to the Pride Park in the Vondelpark Sunday 30 July 2017 TransPride opening The opening is from 5PM until 5:45PM in front of The Generator in the Oosterpark. From 5:45PM until 7PM various performances, speakers and acts will be held in the Auditorium of The Generator. From 7PM on the festivities will move to the Ooster Bar (http://www.oosterbar.com/) of The Generator. Here various DJ’s and other performances will be held. For snacks, food and beverages, the Nescio café is located at the entrance of The Generator (http://nescioamsterdam.com/). Monday 31 July 2017 Trans* InClusion/ExClusion within the LGBQ community At 8PM we start with the discussion of Trans* InClusion/ExClusion within the LGBQ community. During the discussion we will converse with a variety of speakers and the audience regarding the misunderstandings, ignorance, discrimination and transphobia in relation to transgenders within the LGBQIA community. Tuesday 1 August 2017 TransTalents, TransStory, TransPoetry From 8PM until 1AM it will be a night filled with TransTalents, TransStory, TransPoetry. Throughout the night visitors can showcase their talent, stories and poems. Once all participants have left the stage, the DJ’s and other acts will bring the night to a festive close. Wednesday 2 August 2017 For the TransPride Walk East we meet up at 2PM in front of The Generator, with a large flag, music and acts. At 3PM we walk toward the opening of the Pride East at the Javasquare. By participating in this walk, we want to build a connection with the neighborhood, neighbors, TransPride and Pride East. During our walk we will be handing out flowers to the public. Once we reach the Javasquare we will remain at this location with an information stand. On the square there will be speakers and other performances. Thursday 3 August 2017 From 8PM until 1AM there will be a transmen evening. Due to the remaining invisibility of transmen in society, we want to focus on transmen around the world so the evening will be in English. The theme of the night is “Transmen in the World”. Transmen from various countries will be discussing the position of their trans brothers in society in their respective countries. Friday 4 August 2017 TransPride Party From 8PM until 4AM we have the closing party for the TransPride in The Generator. The last day of TransPride will be a night filled with good music, dancing and hanging with newly made friends. For the closing party we will collaborate with many of our LGBTQ partners and musicians. The party is meant to be a meeting point, a party where everyone is welcome to be themselves. In-house photographer We have 2 photographers for the TransPride. To make sure that the privacy of our visitors isn’t violated, everyone attending the TransPride will be asked for permission before being photographed. Amsterdam TransPride - This is My TransPride Tijdens de Amsterdam Pride organiseren wij de 4e TransPride met als doel de beeldvorming van transgenders te verbeteren, zichtbaar maken, transgenders en ally een kunst en cultureel podium aan te bieden. Met de TransPride willen we verhalen vertellen van transgenders en een brug slaan naar de LGBQ gemeenschap en samenleving. Het thema van de TransPride 2017 is This is My TransPride. Deze wordt van 30 juli t/m 4 augustus 2017 in de Generator Mauritskade 57/Oosterpark Amsterdam georganiseerd. Amsterdam TransPride programma (onder voorbehoud) Zaterdag 29 juli 12:00 Opening Pride Walk. We lopen als transgemeenschap mee met de Pride Walk. We verzamelen om 11:00 uur op de Homomonument bij de grote trans vlag en lopen om 12:00 uur naar het Pride Park in het Vondelpark. Zondag 30 juli 17:00 TransPride Opening Feestelijke opening met verschillende sprekers, muziek, zingen van ons transpride anthem en het hijsen van de transgender vlag. Maandag 31 juli 20:00 Trans* InClusief/ExClusief in de LGBQ gemeenschap. Tijdens deze avond gaan we met verschillende sprekers en het publiek in gesprek over de onwetendheid, misverstanden, onbegrip, discriminatie en transfobia m.b.t. transgenders in de LGBQIA gemeenschap. Dinsdag 1 augustus 20:00.TransTalents, TransStory, TransPoetry. Op deze avond kunnen mensen hun talenten showen, verhalen en gedichten voordragen. Iedereen is welkom om optreden, verhaal of gedicht voor te dragen. Je kunt je aanmelden bij Brian onze huisdichter: Woensdag 2 augustus 14:00 TransPride Walk - Pride Oost We lopen vanaf de Generator naar de opening van de Pride Oost. Op deze manier willen we contact maken met de buurt, de bewoners en een brug slaan tussen de TransPride en Pride Oost. We zijn de hele dag aanwezig met een informatie stand. Er zijn sprekers aanwezig, acts en optredens Donderdag 3 augustus 20:00 Transmen in the World. We gaan met transmannen uit verschillende landen in gesprek over de positie van transmannen in de samenleving en de wereld. Na afloop zijn er optredens en dj. Er kan lekker gedanst worden. Iedereen is welkom. Vrijdag 4 augustus 20:00 TransPride Party De laatste avond van de TransPride sluiten we af met een sfeervolle avond met optredenss, muziek, acts en dj's waar iedereen lekker kan dansen. Een feest waar iedereen welkom is en zichzelf mag en kan zijn. Iedereen welkom is.
