Deep Creek Hot Springs

Anyone heading up this weekend? The weather should be low 90's and perfect for a day in the springs! I'll be there Saturday for sure, hopefully won't be alone up there.

How is this place? Thinking of heading out there soon. Would love to hook up and get drained

Looks like the weather is going to be in the 70's and mostly sunny this Saturday (2/28/09) anyone think it'll be worth the trip over there? I'm a little worried that the temps might not be as warm down in the valley where the creek is. Any thoughst??

His land is on an easier route for your vehicle. Just before you enter the fence of his property make a right on a dirt road that curves around and takes you to the road below his property. It has been too rough a road for the cars I had been driving so I always paid the few bucks.

what's up with the guy at Bowen ranch charging people to "go on his property" and how come no one ever mentioned it before? is this legit? my topo map says deep creek hot springs is on national forest land?

you can actually cross the cold water creek without getting wet. I usually do that when it is too cold outside and I jump into the hot spring and enjoy the day.

Anyone been out there lately? I'm curious how the weather has effected the area, the hike and the water. Is it still worth going this time of year? I'd hate to go and be the only person there.

from I-15 exit Bear Valley. Turn right onto Bear Valley. You are now going east. Stay on Bear Valley until you get to Central. I think it is about 15 miles from the freeway. I could be wrong but it is close to that. At Central turn right. You are now going south. About 2 miles or so down Central you come to a street called Ocotillo. At Ocotillo you turn left. You are now going east again. Ocotillo is paved until almost Bowen Ranch Road. At Bowen ranch Road you turn right. You are going south again. Stay on Bowen Ranch Road until it ends at Bowen Ranch. Bowen Ranch Road is a dirt road and is kind of curvey. You might feel like you are going no where but it will end at Bowen Ranch. From there you follow the posted directions. Just stay on Bowen Ranch Road and you will run right into it.
