Plage de la Lagune (Dune du Pilat)
This beach is just south of Europe's largest sand dune - Dune du Pilat. At beach walk 300 meters south (left when facing the water) to nude area. This part of the beach is specifically designated clothing optional. The beach is very popular with gay men who tend to gather further south on the beach, and also draws a lot of personnel from the nearby military base.

From Bordeaux head west on A660 toward Arcachon, a few kms before La Teste-de-Buch, route will change to N250, once in town exit onto D259 to the coast (this is where N250 veers north to Arcachon) After 4kms. you reach traffic circle, go south on D218, proceed several kms. & park at La Lagune beach parking.
