Locker room cruising. This YMCA doesnt get alot of use b/c everyone uses the newer and bigger facilities on the north shore. You must be a north shore ymca member or buy a guest pass to get in. The locker room is somewhat small. There is an open shower area with 3 shower heads and curtains that can be pulled to block the view of the entire shower (but not the guy next to you). The steam room can be accessed with the gold key on your locker keychain (make sure u get one with the small gold key).

Neighbourhood: Downtown

There is meter parking around the gym and in the parking lot behind the bank across the street.From Route 128 take Exit 22 to Beverly (Route 62).Go straight through the light and follow Route 62 to downtown Beverly for approximately 4 miles.When you see Town Paint and Supply ahead turn right onto Cabot Street. The YMCA is about a 1/4 of a mile down the street.
  • Hours:Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 8:00pm
    Friday: 6:30am - 6:00pm
    Saturday: 8:00am - 2:00pm
    Sunday: closed

    times seem to vary. afternoon about 1-3 on weekdays seems to be good. As well as around 9 in the morning. On Saturdays its usually best around 10-11.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Ccruisiest spot is in the steam room. Turn the dial to the left up to 1 to get it steamy (dont go past 3 on the dial, it sometimes breaks and the room gets too hot). Most of the guys who cruise here seem to be in 30s or 40s. Then there is an older group, and a few younger guys. But your mostly looking at middle age. Giving your a tug and traveling from steam room to shower is usually a good sign. also there is a shower of cold water inside the steam room, and its in the perfect little alcove for a hookup. it is possible to close the shower curtains outside and hook up in the showers but you must be the only ones in the locker room.
  • Nudity / Policy:Nudity is allowed in the locker room. is not, you must be discreet.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Yes. Elevator can take you down to basement level (locker room). handicapped shower.
  • Warnings:Please note that not everyone here wants to hook up. There are guys who go and like to just sit in the steam room. No they do not want , and no they dont want to watch you do it. this is a great spot, lets not ruin it.

  • The place is small and no one was there. Not worth the bother in my opinion.

  • Just joined the North Shore Y last month. I haven't been to this location yet though. I'll be sure to visit and report back.
