Stanford Woods (formerly Clifton, Bedfordshire)

cruiser update 4/14/2008:
Used to be used a lot, then the trees got seriously cut-down. 5 years ago. Getting better, good cover further in the wood and good at night. Earth banks around the carpark edges. Used to spend endless "romantic" nights further in the wood. Dog walkers in the mornings/evenings and the odd couple (M/F) enjoying themselves. Visited by the police every night, anytime from 2100z to 2300z. No problems, usually they just drive back out. Got a recently cleaned-out lake, accessible from a but further up the road towards the pub. Height restriction on the entrance (1.5 metre), anything higher than a car will not get in, that means 4wd like land rover.

At crossroads (on B658) with the Green Man Pub on the corner - take a left off of the B658(after stanford) towards clifton. 200 yards on the right is a parking area for the woods.
