East Beach (Black Rock Beach)
This portion of Brighton's city beach has been designated clothing optional since 1980, and is by far the public of Britain's nude beaches. In summer the beach will draw as many as a hundred bathers on weekdays, weekends are much busier. There are many amenities nearby, but you must dress to visit them. The vast majority of bathers are gay men.

From the central beach area in Brighton (where the Palace Pier is located)walk east along the seafront (left facing the sea). When you reach Peter Pan's Playground, cross Volk;s Railway and you will be at the beginning of the nude beach, which extends east to the Brighton Marina.
