This beach is not so busy as Scabbacombe further along, providing lots of discrete places for in the rocky inlets along the each. For more solitude go further along to Long Sands which is only accessible at half to low tide. It catches the sun until quite late in the day and there are lots of rocky inlets for discrete fun and .

Park at Mansands car park. Follow the rough lane to Mansands beach. Follow coast path behind cottages towards Kingswear. At top of hill climb over fence and follow path down to beach.
