It is pretty woodsy in the hottest spots. If you head further in and climb the hill, things will start becoming very obvious. Just look around for signs of acticity. You'll see hidden areas worn down by feet. You'd be surprised how private it can be when you've found someone to hook up with. The trees and brush have formed a lot of little "rooms." Look around for wrappers, you'll be in the right place.
Crowd: Park Slope guys from one side, Flatbush guys from the other side. I have met guys as young as 20 and as old as 50. I have met some hot guys here. I even met a hot-bodied guy once who hangs around naked in a little brush 'cove' and waits for a top to come along. There are usually a lot of both - suckers and suckees, tops and bottoms. Everyone here is a local.

You're looking for the Vale of Cashmere area of Prospect Park. (Consult the park maps at the entrance). Enter the park near the arch at the main entrance. Take the path closest to the library in. It goes almost straight there. There is a big open area with oval empty fountains (and a cruisy "tunnel" back in the trees). Go past that (parallel to Flatbush) into the woodsy area.

    Best times: Mid-day can be okay, but early eve before dusk is best.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Pretty standard. If you are in the woodsy area, you can have your out (turned away from the path) and wait for guys to check you out. Just walk around, sit on a bench, whatever. Most everyone you see back here is going to be cruising. Sometimes some quick fun is in order (there is plenty of privacy), and sometimes you can go back to an apartment.
    Cruisiest Spots: Further in the park in the hilly woodsy area. On a nice weather day, this place can be very, very busy. There's usually someone for everyone.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Beware of younger hustlers - there aren't many, but they'll come up and talk to you.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:As anywhere, a few harmless younger hustlers - there aren't many, but they'll sometimes come up and talk to you.
    Warnings: Please do two things - 1. Be safe and never go after dark. It is definately a safe place, but don't go to the park after dark. 2. Pick up after yourself.

  • This spot went downhill compared to a few years ago. Oftentimes there's not really anybody around. But most importantly: Since there have been numerous murders right in the cruising area this place is also dangerous!!
