Neighbourhood: At the foot of Erzsebet-bridge Buda side

Located right under the Buda side of Erzsebet bridge, a few steps downstream along the embankment of the Danube River. It's a historic building easily noticeable from Elizabeth bridge when headed to Buda, on the left side just off underneath the bridge. If taking public transport: from Pest, all lines number 5, 8 and 7 will get you across the bridge and drop you off within walking distance. (note: the regular one with the number 7 in black -the same bus line if the number 7 is displayed in red, won't stop here). From Buda: both tram lines 19 and 18/56 get u to the foot of the bridge, from where it's but a 2 minute walk. If taking the tram 18-56 or 19 get off at the stop Dobrentei ter, and walk underneath the overpass for the bridge, and you will see the bathouse/public pool complex right away. Also, an inexpensive ride by taxi from any downtown.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Check hours for men/female/co-ed times, as listed above. Very busy and popular with a younger party crowd over the weekend. When it's co-ed and bathing suits required. During the weekdays, when men only, tend to attract an older regular clientele, especially in the morning hours. Particularly Thursdays and Fridays, and all weekdays towards closing time, are attended by many tourists and visiting businessmen, as well. Eye-contacts are made both in the pool and the steam room/sauna...and even more so, when in the showers, most leave their doors open and explicitly jack off/play. Easy to notice those who are there to cruise by their repeated trips to the adjacent bathroom or thru eye-contact at any time.
Cruisiest Spots: Cruising is most likely in the showers, although there is a chance for eye-contact always both in the steamroom/sauna or the pools. Have seen guys jerk off in the steamroom in the morning when not busy.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / When entering the lockers, visitors are given a bib-like piece of cloth to tie around their trunk in order to cover their front package. Also, this is used to shift around and sit on in the sauna and the steamroom, many, however, choose not to do so and sit uncovered. These "bibs" get soaked by the steam, pools water and sauna humidity, providing a nice view of the packages. A heaven for butt-lovers as these bibs only cover the fronts as if a jockstrap. Some also walk around naked.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Not accessible.
  • Warnings:This is a public establishment. Before closing time, personnel tour the facilities to make sure that all are gone. Bear in mind that this is a traditional Turkish bathhouse frequented by regulars (mostly older guys) who are straight. There is a great deal of eye candy (varies greatly by day of the week and time of the day) and some cruising potential (especially in the showers and bathroom), However, it is considered to be a straight venue by local standards. This is NOT a gay bathhouse. Enjoy the architecture dating from the 1500's and the therapeutic properties, while plenty of eye candy and chance to hook up.
