cruiser adds 7/3/2008: it is one blook off Av. Tulum on Calle 10

cruiser adds 2/11/2008: A friend and I looked for this place on Saturday night, December 1, 2007, and finally found it with the help of a local taxi driver. If you're new to Cancun, as we were, here are some helpful hints. (1) If you're staying in a luxury hotel along Cancun's hotel strip, you need to take a bus or taxi 20-30 minutes to get to the original town of Cancun, of which the main street is the Avenida Tulum. (2) The Avenida Tulum is set on a gentle decline, with buses coming from the hotel strip in the lower land and buses returning to the hotel strip in the upper lane. (3) There is a side street off the upper land with bars and a shop that used to have a cinema showing , but the taxi driver told us it was closed. I think this must be what nicelad2005 found. (4) The cinema that's still open is on a smaller street parallel to the Avenida Tulum on the lower side. It's near to but not opposite to Plaza Cancun 2000. By the time we got there at midnight, it was closed. The taxi driver said it was "in a very bad part of town"--but of course! Next time I'll know where to go.

Previous comment: It is in a side street off Avenida Tulum opposite Plaza Cancun 2000.

  • Hours:I think it is open about 12 to 12
    Best times: 18.00 onwards
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Sit towards the back and make eye contact or when things start to happen move closer and join in.
Cruisiest Spots: At the back of the cinema either side of the projection room.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:It seemed safe to me. I was the only tourist in there but I had no problems and lots of fun. But do not approach guys unless they look as if they are cruising. There are a lot of straight guys but these mostly stay in the front part of the cinema.
