Previous comment: The sauna used to be called Reubans, but has now been taken over by the Manager - Alan - hence "Big Al's". Alan is a welcoming and discrete host and the sauna plays a vital role in offering a safe place for meeting and fun, to the Cumbria and the southern Scotland gay, bi and tv community.
Although small and intimate, this is the most relaxed and least "cliquey" sauna i've visited and where i've enjoyed some of the best ! (unlike some larger bath houses, where the beutiful only pose and don't mix).
The sauna consists of a steam room, jacuzzi, sauna, cafe area and private rooms, with films.
Cost is currently 10.00 pounds per visit, no time-limit, with a pass-out system, should you leave and wish to return the same day.
Crowd: A good mixture of ages and professions, from the young and beautiful, to the bus pass fraternity! Often regulars, with some people passing through.
