Built as a set for a long-forgotten movie, Palm Springs Weekend, starring Troy Donahue, the Desert Palms is also known as the "Desperate Palms," for its collection of lonely, visitors. Troy Donahue is in better repair than the hotel.

  • Desert Palms is not currently operating and is once again for sale. It operated for a few years as the Ozz Resort and more recently featured The Plum restaurant. The listing says that the rooms have been recently renovated.

  • Apparently bank currently owns the place, but new owners are taking over soon. The website & email should be up soon. They are still operating though.
