John Lloyd State Park

areas

Dawn to dusk (8:00 am to dusk see clock at entrance as to when the park closes).

Is This Your Business?

Nude sunbathing, wooded trails, lots of action and watching. Pay (approx $2.00 per person) admission and continue north about a mile into the first parking lot and leave your car. The main gay area entrance is in front of the first turn in to the lot. Follow the boardwalk over the bridge over Whiskey Creek and turn south and walk about .25 mile to the changing room / bathroom which is where the gay beach begins and continues south into the dunes.
Alternately there is a second boardwalk in front of the second entrance into the parking lot. The most popular cruisy path begins just before the bridge over Whiskey Creek and continues north for a mile or so. There is another gay area but much less populated about a half mile to the north of the boardwalk bridge. 12/09/04 A cruiser reports: The gay beach at John Lloyd park is closed for a environmental works project. There is no cruising there currently.

I-95 to Sheridan Street (Milepost Exit 21 - Old Exit 24), east to A1A, north 1.5 miles; or from Ft. Lauderdale take US-1 south past the airport into Dania. Take Dania Beach Boulevard east over the drawbridge and take the second right into the state park, not the first right into Dania Beach.
  • Hours:A few hours before the park closes or anytime in the afternoon.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Spandex, swimwear, or anything revealing is always attracting.
Cruisiest Spots: The first parking lot then over the bridge and south to the gay beach. Wooded trails past the bath house. Nature trails at the north end of the first parking lot are also very cruisy.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Don't even think about it. You'd be better off at Haulover 10 miles south. (see Miami listing)
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Park rangers on foot or ATVs; be aware.
Warnings: 12/07/04 A cruiser reports: No one goes to cruise here at all anymore as there have been massive
amounts of entrapment by a few rangers. So beware.
