  • San Marcos Police, huh?? San Marcos does not have a police department --- they contract with the SD Sheriff. Escondido PD??? it's out side the city limits --- they'll leave this area to the SO. The BP only cares about federal offenses -- that could include drug running, but no runner is going to hand off in such an open area or go that far north of the line carrying. A "coyote" did drop some first time illegal aliens here one time and tell them they were in Ocenaside The CHP officers are California 830 PC peace officers --they may arrest for whatever occurs in their presence in the case of misdemeanors. --such as lewd conduct type stuff. Getting action in the bushes is very risky because they cops can always charge you with trespassing in a place like this and leave you to explain that you were doing here. And, around here, anyone in the brush is always a suspect serial arsonist. Caught with a rubber in your pocket and a book of matchs--- "give him the death penalty."

  • ....span...t" -- The cops monitor this spot because the proprietor of the ARCO and other local taxpayers complain to their elected officials about blatant cruising in the area. There are some very influential people living in the avocado estates overlooking the area who get upset when they go out on their 1/2 acre redwood deck and look down on a pair of guys bareass on the trails.... they don't call 911 - they call a politician.

  • It says a lot about a country when cops don't have anything else to do than monitoring a cruising site.... Land of the free??????????
