Is This Your Business?

Great place to get off with other like minded guys. Never seen cops there and usually only guys around cruising. Be discreet during the summer on hot nights - often a few straight people out walking. When it's colder or late, we normally have the place to ourselves. From the park benches you can see people coming in - they can't really see you until they get closer, so you have time to zip up if it's a dogwalker or insomniac. It's only a few minutes away from the Victoria St (Brunswick) beat so you can check this out if the other is dead. It's also not as obvious since your parked car could belong to someone in one of the houses opposite. There is a regular straight couple that go there for that will let you join in.

    Cross street: Mt. Alexander Rd
  • Hours:Nighttime only.
Best times: 10pm to 1am. Park gets used by dog walkers and the occasional straight couple going for a moonlit walk along the lake. Normally fairly quiet after 10pm
    Dates open: Everyday.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Park on The Strand near the north entry/path (near the cnr with Robinson St). It lets guys know there is someone there cruising. Walk along the lake path on the Mt.Alexander Rd side and check out the guys walking the path or sitting on the benches. There are lots of bushed areas you can take a guy into, or stay on the path if it's quiet/safe waiting for more action to join.
Cruisiest Spots: Along the Mt. Alexander side of the lake on footpath/benches.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Occasional dogwalker or straight couple in the park.
Warnings: I've been going to this beat for years and never seen any cops. The lake is lit up early evening so it's not as discreet and there is more chances of a passersby. The lights go off around 10pm.
