whos coming to Elysium Resort

  • I stayed there a few times, the accomodations at the time varied from great to poor... The last straw for me was during a threatened hurricane about 3 years ago... I was in the courtyard reading and my partner was in our room... notes were slipped under the door that said there woud be a mandatory evacuation by 8 AM the next morning... and a list of possible hotels that might be able to accomodate/... no one spoke to either of us personally, and when I checvked with the front desk the next morning (even though there was an urgency in the situation no attempt was made to keep the office open past the regular 6 or 7 pm close time) it was basically you are on your own , but need to be out by 11... and only credits for the unused part of your stay... no refunds... needless to say, I used my credit up on a quick trip and resolved to never go back... there are too many great guest houses in Ft Lauderdale that provide service, nice accomodations, and after hour activities if you are so inclined

  • Sorry Buddy, South Florida has the nastiest gay community in the country! They are out just for themselves and nobody else it's their way or it's no way!

  • I was staying at the Schubert Resort and had friends staying at the Elysium. I wanted to check out their place and they wanted to see mine. When i arrived at the Elysium, i was treated very badly. The owners made me move my car, was given the third degree as to WHY i was there and how long i was going to be there. My friends were very embarrassed by the way i was treated. I would NEVER stay there and my friend will never stay there again. I did get to see their room which was not very nice. The layout of the place was confusing and their room was out of date. When i brought them to the Schubert, they were treated very well. I can't say enough nice things about the shubert.

  • I stayed at the Elysium during a recent vacation in South Florida. The resort is nicely designed, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff is helpful. On this trip I didn't see too much action at night in the jacuzzi, but certainly there were a lot of hot men staying here. I'll be back!

  • owners of the place are very nice. ignore the angry queens earlier response. calm during day, hot in hottub at nite. very typical of accomodations in area, but one of the largest at 36 rooms.
