Plage du Cavaou
Plage du Cavaou is a large and popular clothed beach except for a 700 meter stretch at its western end which has been officially clothing optional since 1974. It attracts a mixed crowd of straights and gays.

From Marseille take A55 freeway west 37 kms. until A55 becomes N568 (near Martigues) continue west to Fos-sur-Mer, bear right onto D579 then immediately go left onto Route des Plages which takes you over a bridge and then onto D546 heading west. Continue until you reach a parking lot marked "Plage Naturiste".
