I have had some of the most incredible outdoor of my life here -- It's well know and well travelled -- I can't believe it isnt listed here already. A good mix of types, ages and abilities goes here -- There are related sites within 1.5 mi of this one but in VA which is a little tougher on public indecency than MD seems to be.
Crowd: Just about everyone with a shows up here to have it serviced or a hole filled at just about anytime of the day or night.

If going there from WV or VA, take US340 toward Frederick,MD then after U cross PotomacR. bridge, look for a Right exit for Keep Tryst Road -- Go to the bottom of the hill -- there should be cars parked there with RR Tracks and C&O Canal straight ahead of you. Find a spot and get out for a look-see. Someone will probably follow you and then maybe lead you to a good spot or 5!
  • Crowd:Just about everyone with a shows up here to have it serviced or a hole filled at just about anytime of the day or night.
  • Hours:Anytime. Most action is after work for the bluecollars, night for the hardcore and bi-guys and truckers.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:If U smoke cigarettes -- a long drag on one at night is usually used to signal another guy -- he may return the "glow" as an invitation to heat things up!
    Cruisiest Spots: In the woods opposite the RR Tracks is the Appalachian Trail with lots of nice stream areas and "beaches".
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:During the warm months -- the Canal is visited by "Straight" tourists and familys -- C&O Canal is a National Park afterall! -- might want to at night in the summer to avoid them. But then, who doesn't like night in the woods when it's hot out?

  • What are the best times to go here? I have been a couple of times and have not seen anyone around. Also..where is the best place?

  • (Black) partner and I were there yesterday to revisit the old neighborhood . . . . MAJOR changes:

    - Path off tow path to river once GREAT for getting head, is now grown over.
    - Tree that was burnt/hollowed up for complete privacy has been (chain saw) cut down and area surrounding overgrown. (Definitely a Park Ranger kind of work)
    - Rangers now drive a marked, white Tahoe ON the towpath patrolling
    - Did see some old trolls looking to get their meat serviced (all in short shorts, commando!)
    - Did manage to take my mans dong in my hole and feel his load release though!
