★ LOVE TO THE FRONT - Germany's first LGBTI Hackathon! ★ Hosted by Erasys (the company behind PlanetRomeo) Organised by UNICORNS IN TECH (The Global LGBTI Tech community) March 31 + April 1, Berlin Do you care strongly about a specific challenge that LGBTI communities face? Parental rights, finding a partner, equal marriage, discrimination, hate crimes? Do you have any ideas how to solve those challenges using technology? Disrupt the tech industry and fill it up with unicorny innovations at the first LGBTI Hackathon in Germany! Create your own hackathon group or join other groups and make our world a little bit better. Erasys and UNICORNS IN TECH will NOT have any ownership over your idea. Instead, we will promote your project and connect you with potential funders or investors. This hackathon is a great mutual learning experience: you will get experience from your groups' comrades and mentors and you will learn by doing in a fun atmosphere with smart people like yourself. ■ Schedule ■ Friday 7:00 pm - Food/drinks, mingling 7:30 pm - Welcome talk by UNICORNS IN TECH and Erasys: hackathon procedure and rules, Q&A 8:00 pm - Short group presentations, joining the groups 8:30 pm - Group meetings 9:30 pm - Socialising Saturday 8:00 am - Hacking Day starts 8:30 am - Breakfast is served 2:00 pm - Lunch 7:00 pm - Presentations and vote for finalists 8:00 pm - Dinner 9:00 pm - Drinks/snacks, mingling ■ Registration ■ We are looking for all geek and creative types. We will send out invitations after a careful review by UNICORNS IN TECH and Erasys. People, who need to travel to Berlin, will get their invitations earlier, so you can plan your trip. The participation is free, but there is no budget for travel or accommodation costs. There will be, however, tons of drinks and food throughout the day and perks like special free tickets for #UNIT2017 (The Global LGBTI Tech & Science Conference), free Plus membership at PlanetRomeo, trophies and more prizes.
