Close out Pride Month with a history lesson! The history of pride is filled with love and laughter, but also protests and politics. Join The History Project, Boston's LGBTQ community archives, for a storytelling night where speakers will share their Pride experiences, both riotously funny and downright riotous, with an emphasis on Boston. Join us and emcee Patrick Garvin as we hear from: -Mesma Belsare, Dancer, Choreographer, and Artist -Mason Dunn, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Trans Political Coalition -Amy Hoffman, Writer, Editor, Author, and Community Activist -Sue Katz, Wordsmith & Rebel -Ellyn Ruthstrom, Executive Director of SpeakOUT Boston -Corey Yarbrough, Former Executive Director and Founder of Hispanic Black Gay Coalition ...and others to be announced! Pride Was a Riot Thursday, June 29, 6:00 p.m. Doyle's Cafe | 3484 Washington Street | Jamaica Plain $5 suggested donation to support documenting, preserving, and sharing Boston's LGBTQ history. Snacks will be provided, drinks will be available for purchase. The History Project is Boston's LGBTQ community archives, we're here to document, preserve and share Boston's LGBTQ history. This event is particularly important to us because it gives our community the opportunity to tell our history in your own words.
