DESCRIPTION:

The Kickstand Classic is a bike race for riders of all levels on any kind of bike. Similar to a 5K running race, Kickstand Classic is a bike race designed for everyone, not just elite cyclists. Test your mettle and your power on the pedals in this chip timed bike race. Start and end your ride in the heart of Bartlett, on historic Main Street. You will ride four laps around the 4.8 miles race loop where you’ll pass peaceful residential neighborhoods and great parks on safe car free roads. Ride as fast as you can, or choose a calmer pace. A rest and water stop is available at Leiseburg Park on the north side of the route. Your timing chip will record your individual start and finish times, as well as your lap pace. Ride confidently no matter your skill level. Our slow release start line will allow riders of all experience levels to take off comfortably without getting caught in a pack, and once you start you’ll enjoy a roadway clear of all car traffic. The event benefits Active Transportation Alliance which is a non-profit, member-based advocacy organization that works to make bicycling, walking and public transit so safe, convenient and fun. Active Trans is supported by more than 7,000 members and 1,000 volunteers. www.activetrans.org
