The 12 Bars of Charity is a citywide pub crawl taking place in Uptown for the 4th year in a row this winter! The event first came to Uptown in 2013 with expectations of only a couple hundred people and to organizers surprise there was almost 1,000 people that showed up! The event continues to grow each year, and has raised over $200,000 since it has started. It is $30 to participate and you receive a color coordinated long sleeve shirt to associate with the charity of your choice, in addition to a $10 donation. You will also receive a shuttle pass to take you to the bars, where drink specials are provided to all of the crawlers! This year, 12 Bars of Charity is partnering to support several local charities including: Friends of the Katy Trail, Dallas Margarita Society, Leukemia Texas, The Birthday Party Project, Animal Rescue of Texas, Kidds Kids, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and Autism Speaks.
