Hey Y’all, Many of you are on this list because I personally reached out to you and I just wanted to gather all the information in one spot. I am on the Host Committee of the Equality Awards dinner, held at the JW Marriott on Sat, September 16, 2017. Some of you are seriously considering the event and if you are, then I would love to talk to you more about it. I understand a $400 ticket price is not inexpensive. It’s the cost of a big circuit party event, a Michelin star dinner or a weekend getaway to SF. All worthy choices, but here’s an opportunity to support an organization focused on legislative changes for our community. Some of you may be thinking of getting involved in some way since the election of Trump. His many broken promises to the LBGTQ community is adversely affecting all of us. We are all STEWARDS of the all-important LBGTQ Civil Rights movement. We have to protect our future and those who will come after us. (California is the KEEPER of the entire USA) · We’re working with allies in other states, focusing on elections in swing districts where we can make a difference (districts that we loss to Trump). · We’ve hired our first national policy director with boots on the ground in Washington, D.C.
