With the success of our social media push, Beards N Queers now has a strong 12,900k of bearded followers and is now an annual weekend celebration of events in Philadelphia. We celebrate and honor beards of all shapes, shades, and colors in Queer culture. KICK OFF EVENT: BEARD N BOUJEE: BBQ AND NETWORK PARTY FRIDAY MAY 19TH 6:00PM - 12:00AM HOSTED BY SCI-FI IG: @Sci_Fictional www.anotherplanetbarbershopllc.com Celebrate and network with queer, Lgbtq friendly barbers, local vendors and businesses that specialize in hair care and style. Get a dope fresh cut, line up and shape up just in time for Saturdays main event. Music, food, BYOB, indoor and outdoor event. (Sliding scale donation) This Kick-off event will be held at Philadelphia's newest Black and Queer Owned Barber Shop @apbsllc "Another Planet Barber Shop" located on 808 South Street which recently opened in August of 2016. Come in, request a cut, mention "Beards N Queers" and get $10 off your cut!!! Your beard will be judged purely by our guests of the night. Upon entering, every guest is given a special voting card and will decide who has the dopest beard in the building. Towards the end of the night, we tally up who has the most cards and will be our winner of the night. Live performance by Medusa's Disco. DJ Reezey will be spinning.
