LGBTQIA+ and ALLIES let us come together and with a peaceful demonstration show them what democracy looks like. WE ARE THE PEOPLE... HEAR US?! #EQUALITY When: April 21st What: The GLSEN Day of Silence is a student-led national event that brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Students from middle school to college take a vow of silence in an effort to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior by illustrating the silencing effect of bullying and harassment on LGBT students and those perceived to be LGBT. http://www.dayofsilence.org/ Why: With the current events, it is essential to take a stance and show how we as a community (when silent) are still effective and will still be heard. How: By marching the street of Philadelphia (one of the most populated cities in America) we can show congress and the world that the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies that together we truly are all in this together. Where: City Hall (Philadelphia) You're so much more than a voice, you're a force of nature and the goverment WILL HEAR US! *We need everyone! Regardless of if you are LGBTQIA or one of the many ALLIES! Invite your friends.. Let us show everyone that we are STRONGER TOGETHER!
