According to reports over a hundred men have been rounded up in Chechnya recently, subjected to humiliation and torture, solely upon suspicion of being gay. The Mardi Gras '78ers Working Collective on Chechnya has called to meet at the Sydney Russian Consulate 5pm on Saturday. We invite you to join them and join us in a Rainbow Chalking in the street. The Consulate is a 10 minute walk from Edgecliff Train Station. We are calling for the government in Moscow to take seriously recent reports of abductions, unlawful detentions, torture, beatings and killings of men perceived to be gay or bisexual.
