I have posted this sight as many were getting it mixed (myself included!) up with the A417 toilets listing also on here. I have had many guys contact me saying the "couldn't see a view-point" and were obviously at the lay-by nearer to The Highwayman pub in the Cirencester direction!!!
Crowd: All ages, bi,gay and TVs. Have seen very fit 40-somethings and cute teenagers from time to time. Quite a few "straights" too around late afternoons, on their way home to the wife and kids!!

FROM SWINDON & M4, take the A417 bi-passing Cirencester, continue until you reach single carriage road, go down in steep dip and back up other side, and Birdlip turning is signposted app. one mile further up the road (note you pass the "A417 toilets and layby" cruise sight also listed on here about half a mile past the Highwayman Publicc House!) FROM GLOUCESTER/CHELT; aim for the Air Ballon pub as you head up the A417, and take the 1st Right, signposted as Birlip.

Cross street: A417 - Hours:Late afternoons and evenings (particularly at dusk) weekdays, but after dark weekends due to hettys admiring the view!!!
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Get out and stretch your legs!!! To many just sit in their cars and/or drive up and down.
Cruisiest Spots: On the right hand side after you turn at the Barrow Wake sign; good wooded area with plenty of leaf cover. Just follow the paths! - br
- Failing that, right down the end of the road, park up and walk down the path for app 50yds then walk down into the wooded area (you will find the good areas by looking out for , lube and tissue!)
- Nudity / Policy:Haven't seen it for sevaral years(due to the above warning!)but occasionally a camper van will pull in with a convenient amount of curtain pulled back to advertize!!
On hot summer nights some will strip off to down in the woods at the bottom end nearest to the pub. - Wheelchair Accessible:No
- Warnings:Police call by randomly (particularly between 2200 & 2300) and won't hesitate to beam a powerful search light into your car, as there is zero crime in Gloucestershire, don't you know!!
Best to buy a drink or meal at the Air Balloon then "walk it off" (it wouldn't be right just parking and not buying something; and if it was spotted, could well be stopped from doing so!)
Failing that, just be sober in your legal vehicle, not doing anything obvious, and they can't touch you; you are just admiring the view!!!
