Road to the left as you go on the north side of lake is the best place to cruise, two shelters, two bathrooms. But the shelter across the lake on the west side is also good too, you can see who comes into the park from Rt 111. I have been going here for 20 years, it is outstanding, cops come through very rarely, if you see an Illinois Conservation car, leave. They are sticklers - saw a guy with a burned out brake light red lighted by the conservation cop. Tip, you can throw them off guard if you stop and ask questions about fishing and camping there. If you act normal, you're fine!
