Lots of bushes to hide behind. Well-frequented venue. Gates automatically close, so once closed police can't enter and it becomes safe. Long dry grass in parts, so easy to hide, but don't drop lit butts for fear of bushfires. Toilet block not locked up and has peep hole. Two cubicles. Disable toilet does not lock. BBQ area/ gazebo frequented by families and bike riders on weekends.
Crowd: Predominantly older, married suits/ties, occasional younger.

turn opposite Courtney & Patterson (Ford Dealer) and immediately turn left into the park and you will see the main car park with the toilet block. Approaching from Manningham Rd/Banksia St, you will see the brown Yarra Artist Trail Sign. The Boulevard is opposite Dora St Melways Ref 32 B5. Artists' bike trail runs through the centre of it. Next to Yarra River.

    Best times: 12 - 2pm, or late afternoon.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Walk the well-beaten paths and take a detour off these paths for more privacy.
    Cruisiest Spots: Well-worn walking paths at end of loop in road. Plenty of bushes along banks of Yarra River.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Occassional mountain bike rider but they tear through, so you have plenty of warning. Occassional drive through by park rangers, but they don't get out of car. Some older guys can't say no or be discrete. Popular car parking for bike riders of Artists' trail, which can be popular in fine weather. Snakes in late afternoon sun in Summer. Prickles if you go deep enough into bushes.
    Warnings: No bashings, but very rare abuse from mountain bikers tearing through paths. Stay out of their way and they keep going.
