Plage des Deux Jumeaux (AKA - Parc Naturel D'Abbadia)

Hendaye is located south of Biarritz, on the Atlantic coast in the extreme southwest of France. Access the town's 3 km. beach as far north as possible to avoid long walk. On beach head north to headland which has two large rocks in the water off shore.From the far end of the car park there is a wide concrete path which takes you to the beach, when you reach it, turn right and keep walking to the end. Also, half way down the car park there is a small dirt path which access the woodland area, follow this path until you come to the tourist shop and turn left, this path leads to the mountain top (it's not steep as the car park is near the top of this small mountain), once there explore.

• Hours:For the beach - during the daytime (pls note the beach isn't the best during the winter as it can get cold)
  For the woodland area - day and night. Best times usually late afternoon/early evening.
  For the car park - late evening/night. Best times usually between 9pm and 2am (although busiest 10-11.30)
  Best times: Warm sunny days.
• Cruising Info/ Tips:The car park in the evening is purely a cruising area, just park up and watch or alt take a walk up the path towards the woodland area but don't go too far as there are no lights.
  During the afternoons, the mountain top area overlooking the nudist beach is very popular with gay men, and can get quite cruisy, It also has some secluded bunkers/watch posts (remnants of WWII). Keep an eye on these cause when guys go in, they usually want to be followed.
• Nudity / Policy:Yes / Traditionally clothing optional.
• Wheelchair Accessible:No / Beach not recommended for persons with physical limitations as it is a very long walk, in very soft sand, however car park/woodland area is accessible to all.
