cruiser Update 2/26/2008: Very clean. People at front desk are generally nice.Booths are huge, not usually packed. Straight and gay theaters have really comfortable
Barcalounger type chairs.
They charge fee to get into theaters, but many seem to evade the fee by waiting for door(s)
to open and then pile in; saw one of the female staff clear both theaters yesterday afternoon,
so if you're sneaking in, be discreet.
Mixed crowd. Lots of older, but they mostly stay cool and avoid pouncing.
Enjoyed a few stand up scenes in back of gay theater recently, got BJ from guy down front
while other approached and went down on him.
No really good time; action varies, and since I haven't been there more than about 5 times
(so far) can't say when's the best time to hit the place.
Would be nice if they could stay open later; other alternative Ion Hallandale Beach Blvd.) is
strictly low rent. Wish it was like to old days in FLL~

Previous Comment: There are two theaters in the back -- one straight and one gay. There's also a very nice arcade with big, comfy chairs. However, I'm more a theater person. The theaters are great -- huge barka loungers with cupholders and an area to put your lube, kick back and start stroking. Two screens of going at the same time! One is a regular TV and the other is in high def. This is going to be a very popular spot. It's a $15 cover, but that gets you in for a 24-hour period. Trust me, the $15 is worth it! The arcade's bound to become very cruisy also since they don't have doors on the arcades -- lots of room to have huge group sessions!
Crowd: Right now, it's empty, but it's bound to become popular.

Take the Pembroke Road exit and head West on Pembroke. Prior to going over the train tracks, take a right onto South 30th Avenue and head down 'til you get to the Pleasure Emporium. You can see The Pleasure Emporium on the west side of I-95 if you're heading South.
Cross street: I-95 and Pembroke Road
  • Crowd:Right now, it's empty, but it's bound to become popular.
  • Hours:Update 2/26/2008: Place closes at 1:30AM; it's not 24 hours.
    Best times: This place is very new -- two weeks old. I'll update this in a few weeks.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Whip it out and start stroking.
    Cruisiest Spots: There are two VERY NICE THEATERS in the back of the store -- one straight, the other gay. It's an incredibly nice store -- highly recommend it!!!!
  • Nudity / Policy:Since they have the flashing light, they know what goes on behind the closed doors of the theaters. They want to keep us all safe.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Whenever someone is ready to come into the theater, a light flashes to warn those in the theater that someone's coming in. This isn't a pet peeve. Just a little something to look for when you go in.

  • Yesterday (15th) was the worst day ( lunch time ) Barely a soul in there all during the afternoon. I think maybe 1 or 2 guys tops. What a waste of $16 for the theater.

  • Not sure if anyone posted this yet or not, but its now $5 just to get in the booth area - just noticed that today. I am ok with that as it seemed to keep the freeloaders out of the theaters. Had a nice lunch time visit there watching all the action. Lots of hooking up with all types of guys - something for everyone.

  • gfandme- It is fine for couples. I have been when couple were in the straight theater. I think the theaters are much better with a mixed clientele. There is plenty of space in this place for everyone to indulge their fantasies.

    I also passed by there last night and thought this place wouldnt be bad for a latenight hookup!! I believe the rooms are open till 1am. And the place was pretty empty..... wouldnt be bad for some latenight group action!

  • Seems like late afternoons and weekend evenings are the best if you dont go too late. I have almost always found fun here and some spectacular fun on many visits. Sometimes I think you have to start something by breaking the ice and then the place loosens up. I have found great fun in either theater and the video booths.

  • Grew up in NYC/LA and am spoiled rotten.
    No longer a kid, I settle for what's out there.
    Interesting/ironic aspect of the twliight scene in
    South Florida is that it's humorless, and downright
    serious, verging on the desperate. Incongrous presence
    of older fellows vs. younger guys, with no rhyme or reason
    to their mating/dating habits. Sometimes it's strictly young/young
    and other times it's whatever's out there.
    Scene at this place is unusual. It's the cleanest dirty book store
    I've ever visited, and yet there's a vigilant presence among the
    female employees, who seem to go out of their way to patrol
    the theater action. Many of the visitors do not wish to plunk down
    $16 to take a chance on some action in the theaters. Others of us
    prefer to check it out, and wander into/out of the theaters when
    the doors are left ajar.
    Guys commute to/from straight/gay theaters at will, with most
    preferring to indulge their voyeuristic fantasties by patrionizing
    the straight venue. When all is said and done, it's a wash.
    All depends on the time of day and the mood of the captive
    audience.
    Older employees are more than cool (again, like the place being
    close to immaculetly clean, this is a happy surprise) and I think part
    of the reason they're OK with folks dropping into/out of the cinemas
    without paying the hefty fee is that they may partake) and when the
    goodie goodie gals are not there (usually after 6pm) it's a nice
    environment, as desperate cruising grounds go...wish they they
    had the crowd to warrant a later closing time. Those of us who
    were around in the 70s remember that messing around was kind
    of a non-stop situation.
    Would welcome any further reminiscences.
