activity is limited by regular visits
by park rangers. Most of the activity
occurs in the surrounding woods which
have trails and lots of private areas.

Lakeside area of the park. Update: Go north on 7 from I-30. About 5-7 miles down you'll see a sign saying 'Lakeview'. Turn left, right after sign of winding road.

  • It's been pretty dead when I've driven through. Often see a state trouper car at the bathrooms. Still a nice place to stop though, just be careful. I think law enforcement everywhere checks cruise now for places to keep an eye on.
