Who's Coming

Mixed but its very good for the young lads (over 18) living nearby.

By car its close to B&Q car park which is opposite Hove Park (which isn't Hove Rec) nothing happens in the park its the Rec you want.(walk right out of the car park and its 2 min up the hill) or if your walking cross the foot bridge at Hove rail station, walk to the top of the road and your there.

cruiser Adds: Both Hove Recreation Ground and Hove Park are both on the Old Shoreham Road. The place you want is Hove Rec, NOT Hove PARK. Hove Park is the one opposite the Toys R Us/Burger King etc. If you continue East along the Old Shoreham Road, you will see the Rec on your left hand side, about 100 yards past the traffic lights. Alternatively, the Rec is bordered along its east side by the Drive. Head north along the Drive, cross the junction with Old Shoreham Road and you can't miss it on your left,(there's an entrance right on the corner), or if you continue across the lights, it becomes Shirley Drive and you can find parking alongside. By train, exit Hove station and take the footbridge over the tracks, keep heading north along Hove Park Villas,(about 5 minutes), which literally brings you smack dab in front of the Rec. Cross at the Pelican crossing and you are there.

Best times: All afternoon in the toilet and good early eve for the rest of the park (can be better when dusk)
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:"Action" such as there is, takes place along the west side, where there is a path bordered by trees and bushes on one side and the rugby pitch on the other. Beware, the bushes back directly onto residential back yards so be discreet and avoid loud noises. Hove rugby club practice in the evenings so in Winter, the pitch if flood lit until about 10pm so definately a no go until lights out.
