Plage des Salins is a long narrow stretch of beach that is backed by a large salt lagoon called Les Salins d'Hyeres. Although not officially sanctioned, nudity is freely tolerated. The beach stretches for several kilometers, as you walk east you will forst encounter straight nudists and further on gay nudists. This is the most popular with gay men of Hyeres two nude beaches.

From central Hyeres head east on route N98 for 5kms. then exit right (south) onto D12 for 2kms. When you reach the roundabout in the village of Port-Pothuau, take the turnoff which goes east through the village. Find parking and access to the beach as far east as possible. On the beach walk east past clothed bather, then straight nudist, to gay area.
