Is This Your Business?

This is a very large open air cruising area with the sea on three sides and the cathedral & castle of Eivissa (Ibiza Town) on the fourth.

Neighbourhood: Eivissa

Initially head for the centre of Eivissa (Ibiza Town). No matter which direction you come into Eivissa from head for Paseo de Vara de Rey, the square in the centre of town. As the roads in the area all flow in the same direction when, you enter the square you will need to take the road that runs to the right of the old city walls. In other words, you do not pass through the square but turn off into the road that runs uphill to the right of the square and the old city walls. This road is called 'Carrer de Joan Xico'. You remain on this road as it climbs and winds uphill. At one point aprox 600 metres into the road it appears to split. If you take the left street it goes through a tunnel but you actually need to continue on 'Carrer de Joan Xico' as it goes off to the right. You stay on this road as it climbs and changes name to 'Camino del Calvario' until you come to a dead end and a parking area over looked by the city walls. You are there! Alternatively, if you are already inside the old town area of D'Alt Vila on foot just head for the Town Hall (Ayuntemiento) and in front of this old prison building you will see a narrow tunnel. Take the tunnel which passes through the city walls until you reach the parking area at the top. You are there.

  • Hours:This area is popular all year but extremely busy during the summer tourist months. During the winter you can find local guys there at any time of day but it is more busy between 1800hrs to 2100hrs Monday to Friday but busy late at night Fridays & Saturdays. During the summer this area can be busy during the afternoons as a lot of guys go sunbathing here but it is very busy late at nights too particularly after the bars start to close after 0200hrs.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:During the day the lower area away from the parking areas is more busy and if you go down the left hand slope as you look out to sea there are a few caves which prove popular but there are plenty of trees and bushes to hide behind.. At night, the tree and bush areas close to the parking are very busy although the lower area also sees a bit of activity.
  • Nudity / Policy:In the summer, a lot of the guys sunbathe naked in the area furthest from the parking. Totally unofficial but I have never heard of any problems with nude sunbathing.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Totally unsuitable for those with mobility problems as this area consists of a lot of exposed rocks but there is a small unsurfaced parking area lower down if you cannot or do not want to leave your vehicle.
  • Warnings:Very rarely the police visit the area in patrol cars and use their spotlights to see who is around. They are not looking to molest the cruisers but looking to see if there are any familiar (wanted) faces about. Occasionally there are guys here looking to be paid for their efforts but say nothing until they have finished. Best to ensure you know what is on offer before you get too involved. The biggest negative is the fact this area consists of exposed rocks which can be tricky to negotiate after a few glasses of alcohol or rain. Also, at the far end of this area there is a drop of about 30metres into the sea.
