La Grande Plage
The south end of La Grande Plage has been officially designated clothing optional since 1979. Thye beach draws a mixed straight/gay crowd.

Ile d'Oleron is sixty kms. south of La Rochelle and accessed from the mainland by bridge using route D28 from Marennes. Once on island follow signs for D26E to village of Le GrandVillage-Plage where a roundabout will access you to D126 south for 2.5 kms., then turn right on D126E for several kms. to end at beach parking lot. On beach turn left (south) & walk to nude area.
