  • Uncle and I were in Jacksonville and we went to the park; sat down and struck up a conversation with a sweet young man. He warned us that there were two under cover cops attempting to entrap men/boys. We continued our conversation so not to look suspicious. We gave the young man our room number at the Omni and he came by that night. Though the police can cause problems, I will say that the city at least has at least one caring and hospitable resident.

  • not everyone can drive down to the bathhouse and throw down $25 when you might not even find what you're looking for. also some guys like the anonymity/randomness and the possibility that a straight guy will turn gay for a few minutes especially if there's a glory hole. maybe its the gamble/risk of getting caught. that definitely does it for some people. those are some reasons.
