A county park with picnic groves, basketball court, a small enclosed zoo and play area. Has a beachfront on the lake, but no swimming allowed.
Lots of Canadian Geese hanging about all over. People feed them but is not recommended.

Neighbourhood: Thompson Park

If you know how to get to Jamesburg ( Right off exit 8A, NJTPK) it is in the center of this one square mile town and is hard to miss.
  • Hours:Sunrise to sunset only, park is closed after sunset.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Go into the park and go past the small zoo to the back parking area near the red building. Park there and walk toward the lake till you get to the railroad track and turn right. Keep walking till you are around the bend on the tracks and there are woods as far as the eye can see on either side of the tracks. Would be wise to bring a blanket.
    No one actually cruises there but you can bring your lover back there for hours of naked fun.
  • Nudity / Policy:Nudity in the woods would be OK I'm sure, anywhere else is risky at best.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Park area is handicap accessible but not the railroad track area.
  • Warnings:Park ranger drives thru the park on occasion but never does he go up the tracks, no vehicle accessibility & he will not walk up there as he is the only one on duty.

  • Used to work in the area and over a ten year period had much fun on the various trails with both men and women. Was a great meeting spot.
