There are some secluded places--corners, between stacks, rooms, in the library itself, but the mens room is the quiet, low-traffic place to meet. Large , low door. Saw two pair of feet in the a month or so ago.
Crowd: All sorts of men, but I've seen college/college-age guys hanging out, and older single guys checking guys out all through the place.

Just north of 7th st on Main. Joplin St, just behind the building, is a one-way street heading south.

  • Hours:Mon, Thurs 9am-9pm
    Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat 9am-6pm
    Sun 1pm-5pm
    Best times: From late morning to a few hours before close (11 am-5 pm seems best).
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Enter from west side of building (parking lot side). You can enter the restroom without entering the main library and often without being noticed at all by staff.
    Cruisiest Spots: Men's restroom, at front of building.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Staff is almost exclusively female, so little staff interruption is likely. There are families around so be discreet.

  • The have BEEFED UP security -- cameras all over the place!!! NOT A GOOD PLACE anymore. They will call police. There are several men on staff now in multiple departments. Try somewhere else.

  • If you get caught here, they will call the cops and have you arrested. I used to work there sometimes and I have seen it happen. And, YES, the staff does notice people coming in the back way to avoid the main area-just because they're mostly women doesn't mean that there isn't a guy around that they can send in to check things. BE CAREFUL. The main reason why they have a problem with us hooking up there is because of all the families. If you meet somebody hot, go somewhere else and avoid trouble.
